I would trust apple more than this device. I know samsung has fall detection on their watches. There is a recalibrate option on apple watches, but I have no idea if that would help.

Seems similar to the 46mm samsung galaxy watch that went on sale a little while back for $70. the samsung galaxy watch has a 3 day battery life though.
