Look, a Newegg sale that doesn't involve a rebate. I might just buy it because of that alone... But yeah, this is an unproven "brand", but to be honest, the numbers global brands for SSDs are too...

If you're fine with mechanical right now, then you won't need an SSD when it comes down to that price. It's like saying "Tesla is still far away from replacing my $2000 car." Totally different...

Still far away from replacing my 14TB mechanical drive that I got for $200 on BF.

Darn good price for the storage. Never heard of the brand. Might be good (enough) for a Steam drive?

It has sata so yes obviously. My OG ps4 uses a micro center ssd which is vastly more responsive than a mechanical drive

Price is good, but I am not sure I can trust my data to some unknown brand.

Don't trust your data to a no name drive. Trust me, saving $30 isn't worth 10+ hours of your time restoring your computer and all the lost data.

Decent price but never heard of this brand. Edit : They sell the brand on Amz for 175. Here is the JS-600... not exactly the same thing but close enough for review and price comparison ...

I am just wondering but in a regular pc usage, when do you need more that 200 mb/sec ? I mean even if you are moving large files it would only be a difference of a few seconds right? If you are...

Yes. However, don't expect much improvement is load times. The PS4 Pro doesn't do much to take advantage of the benefit of SSDs. I know as I put one (not this model) in mine.

Yes, In some large file transfer tests the speed drops sharply down to 90MB/s~130MB/s, it has no name memory chips inside and flimsy plastic case. Should be sold for free after rebate.. Stay away...

Might want to actually look into it before you call people liars. I got a 960 GB NVMe drive for $70 a few months ago myself, it might be the same deal Redflyer mentioned. Here's the link to it.

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Not an OS drive nor for data storage, but GREAT for games and programs which can easily be reinstalled in a worst case scenario.

Isn't there a global chip shortage right now, likely blamed on COVID but who knows the real reason? My last 3 drives have all been the Samsung PRO models, talk about paying a bit more.

No. If anyone here is expecting this shit drive to have any kind of cache(necessary for a SSD), kindly FO somewhere else. They said 500 MB/s. They didn't say for how long.

Does anyone else find the meantime between failure rating a little sketchy? Why would you give that type of rating to a drive that fails from writes, not how long it's on. MTBF is for hard disks, as...
