pnguy70 is completely correct. You’ll hate this laptop because the silver keyboard without a backlight is horrible. If it’s a silver keyboard make sure it’s backlit!! I have customers all the time...

HP's build quality is pretty terrible. My Lenovos I bought from 2012-2018 (mostly on the previously awesome Lenovo Outlet) all did great for 5+ years.

There are plenty of options and unless you specify your use cases clearly, it is hard to suggest anything. For example, you mentioned non gaming which means you don't need a dedicated graphics card...
