I think paypal key has blocked 3rd party payments like plastiq to use paypal key. So you can't pay mortgage or any with Paypal key

You can pay your federal taxes ahead of time using PayPal via Discover. Not a full 5% gain after factoring the fee but is a good way of maximizing the limit
