I changed the string out to 1.05. It doesn’t auto feed but I carry side cutters with me and manual feed maybe once. The thicker string works great especially edging.

I have the ryobi 18v and have no issues, my yard is also tiny. I was going to go with the 40v but had no need for it plus have so many 18v batteries along with other ryobi tools.

I’m 1/4 acre and mow the whole lawn with 2 5.0 batteries. When I’m finished with the mowing the batteries still are at 2 bars. I the rest of the power one for trimming other for the blower.
