I always buy stuff from lowes. Prefer to HD as i can always buy 10% off or $20 off $100 coupons so this deal compounds my discount to an even better deal

Lowe's gift card is the most useless gift card. When you return the item in Lowe's, they only refund "store credit" and lock on your driver license

Yes, you can redeem for statement credit or direct deposit BUT every $1 earned will only be worth $0.5 - $1 (depending on the card)

If you have Citi Rewards+ Credit Card, you also get a 10% bonus each time you use TYP. So this effectively becomes 30% redemption discount. Great deal given that Citi Removed 1.25 Travel redemption...

Doubt it, 10-20% discount on Lowe's GCs is common out there and you can't buy visa or other GCs with Lowe's GC anymore

Sorta, but also I would figure the Lowes GC has a discounted value of at .8 or less of face value, so if you were going to “private sale” a Lowes GC, realistically you would I think $300 or more off...

10% of 80% (since you are paying 80% after 20% discount) = 8%. 20% + 8% = 28%. Not 30%.
