I agree ... when your wire tied to a PC or TV, physical motion is minimal. Is their a practical solution to reduce the tension these HP exert?

Thanks for the help. Decided to pass on this altho I got an alert today for the PC38X @ Drop for $139 if anyone is interested. I can't stomach spending nearly 50% more for a slight upgrade which...

Seems like a lot of people are on the fence between these and the Philips SHP9500. I personally find the HD58X to sound better as the Phillips are a little harsh to me with the treble. I have had the...

I use the Philips for some music, but mostly calls and gaming. The wide stage helps for positioning and they don't clamp on my head to cause discomfort after half an hour. The 58xs sound great...

I have both. They don't tune quite the same imo. The 599 has bigger sound stage but the quality of mids for 58X and 6XX are just noticeable better.

They are pretty dang similar. The 599 clamps a lot less and is overall more comfortable and the cable terminates in the left earcup vs. both earcups. 58X sound is jusssssst a hair smoother and a...

Can you please compare the 58X to the 650/6XX, which can sometimes be found on sale BF for a bit more? And what else do you own/worth considering outside Sennheiser? Thanks.

I have the 558, 560, 598, 599, 58X, and 650. All have the basic "Sennheiser signature sound" or mid to high accent or clarity. The 500 series are all very similar, with the exception of the 599 and ...

DT990 and DT770 are both extreme with the treb. That's why I returned them. The only thing worth buying is the DT880 600 ohm version. You can EQ a bit at around 5k-6k and you'll be good or just leave...
