Got these for about $140 or $150 about 18 months ago IIRC. The headband feels cheap and plasticy, but…

Comfortable and good balanced sound. Can't go wrong at this price point.

I have both and I would say the X2 are better for gaming/movies as they have more bass, soundstage is great, and you can slap a v-moda boompro mic and you're good to go.

The 58X are better for music imo as they are more detailed and have amazing mids, so it's preference, really. I always switch out between the 2 headphones.

IMO these are the best headphones for the price. I recommend these over the 6xx for both sound and that you don't need a dac amp. I got them for $150 about 2 years ago and they are still my daily drivers.

These are my favorite pair of general use at-home headphones. Great-all rounders and I can hear others in the house easily.

I've been on the fence about spending the money on the 6XX. This is perfect and just about the same quality for nearly half the price. Really excited to get my ears on these with the hybrid velour ear cups.

for gaming and movies because of the soundstage, the X2s are better...they say the Sennheiser PC37X or new pc38x is good for gaming too

I say the Fidelio x2 if you want to use a v-moda boom pro for one wire (Its what I use).
If not using a headset mic I think its a toss up of preference.

Yea no headset need. This would be for mostly single player immersive games.
