It really depends on how much you want to spend and how far away your phone will be. Bluetooth has limited range and I hear Meater can be pretty bad sealed in a metal grill or smoker.

Look into the DOT as well, it's a leave in thermometer with different lead options. I didn't know I needed one of these types of thermometers til I randomly bought one during a sale.

He changed it to $26, but that's not a good title either, because can buy as many as you want, and shipping is only $5 for all of them to be shipped. I bought 5, was 5 x 21 + 5 = 110 (plus tax).
