The battery cover is in the back of the lid so it won’t get junked up. But everything under the lid & inside is a big time collection area. Make sure to clean it after each bag change

Less likely I feel as of all the foot pedal ones we’ve had, foot pedal has never broken. A sensor one has though, so you had to lift lid with hand.

Has anyone gotten this and had it work well. I just got mine and the manual explicitly states not to use rechargeable batteries. Who in their right mind is spending $8-10 a month on C cell batteries...
