Be aware these detect at a long distance... even on the lowest setting. But they take a lot of movement to trigger at that lowest setting. At higher, default, setting they are so sensitive everything...

That's not how hue works. You hit it once on setup. (and a second time of joining it to a home automation system.) You don't touch it to add bulbs, change scene, etc.
