I have never had any issues using thier free nights certs. In fact my last 3 years worth of free nights were extended due to the Pandemic and I was able to use them over this weekend consecutively.

What if I want to book nights at over 50,000 points? Am I unable to do so with the free nights or does it just knock of 50,000 points (so a 70,000 point night becomes 20,000 points)?

The certificates are ‘use them or lose them’. As the terms of the certificates state, if not used within 12 months, they disappear. That’s it.
