Loudness has nothing to do with it. It's about evening out bass peaks and dips due to length of bass sound waves and room dimensions. There a Harman white paper on the benefits of multiple subs and...

No, cables aren't included. You'll need enough speaker wire to run from the receiver to each speaker, plus of course, a way to cut and strip the wire (or you could purchase pre-cut and pre-terminated...

In for this deal. I've got the info I need to research receivers and a subwoofer. How about cables? Does this come with them? The Adorama page doesn't say anything about it. Can someone point me...

For that budget I'd go with a pair of Daytons or 10" Klipsch, if you can find them at that price. If you can find a single SVS on sale for that price that could be an option but for me I prefer the...

Many people swear by dual subs, but a lot depends on the size of your room and how loud you like to listen. FWIW I've done it both ways, even in the same room, and haven't established a preference.

I have a 16+ year old BIC Acoustech 5.1 system, this is tempting to get the upfiring atmos. Can't add speakers on top of my current towers because then it would block part of my screen.

Any thoughts on whether I should grab a pair for $399.98 total, or just get a better single subwoofer elsewhere? Thanks again! Tofu Vic

That's a great deal on that Klipsch sub. I'd grab it. ETA: it does seem sort of light weight for the size, though. But it's Costco, so returning it won't be a problem if you don't like it.

Thanks for replying! I don't have a strict budget on the subwoofer, so maybe up to $400 or $500? I definitely prefer wireless. Thanks for the recommendation! I see that Adorama has a pair for...

Someone above made a couple of receiver recommendations. I generally don't keep track of new models when I'm not in the market. For subwoofer, what's your budget? If you're looking at entry level,...
