I bought one. Here is what I don't like about it. The trackpad is not as good as other laptop when it comes to two fingers scrolling. And then the battery life is not that great 4 ish hours. ...

I've had mine for about a week now. The complaints about the track pad are valid, its not as sensitive as I'd like, as two finger gestures are hit or miss. The keyboard has a plasticky cheap feel....

So tempting at this price, but so many problems with the screen. Most warranties require you to deal with the OEM first, and Gateway seems to be even more useless than most companies' warranty...

Thanks, but I am aware of that deal, and that's all the specs I need. I'm just so leery of that Gateway, w/ so many people having complaints. I think I'd be better served paying more, perhaps w/ an...

For the Gateway from Walmart, anyone know how it impacts the return policy if, say, you format and install Linux? Is there a "system restore" you can do to take it back to OOTB before returning?

I tried that, and it didn't work. I even tried to run it without an internal battery, and it wouldn't come up. Did you try to drain it first or do anything else special? I'm running out of ideas.

Wonder if this is worth it as a gift to someone who only checks emails and watches YT. I think using Walmart's credit card gives a year of warranty. Purchasing a $60, 3 years warranty seems pricey...

Do let me know if you figure out how to use the USB-C for two monitors. Also, does the fan kick on loudly during use? How is the audio from such a small laptop?
