I just got the Marriott CC a few weeks ago. How long do I need to wait to apply for this? 30 days? 90 days? 800 credit score and no problem on 5/24 rule.

Sign into Experian website or app and you can see all of the cards you've had open the last few years. That's the easiest way I've found to check 5/24 status.

IHG. Rule of thumb w/Chase is if the card is co-branded, the points it earns are for the co-brand.

I don't think so, need to wait for the card. But you can call customer service to expedite the delivery (they will just do a lost&replace for you, so that you don't need to wait for the slower USPS...

Lots of time, it’s cheaper to just book a random hotel with the points + cash option and just cancel it. They refund the cash part as points. That’s how I get extra points when needed.

You don’t have to keep the card but do need to have point activity. Otherwise points expire after 12 months, I believe.

No. you can just book hotels with these points, transfer to airline points(bad rate) or get gift cards(very bad rate too). you could get $350 value in gift cards or 1-2k by booking free hotel stays.
