Be aware this tool will not produce the claimed torque without the MAX or Octane batteries. The regular batteries produce only about half the torque. Lots of info available online confirming this...

No, the current one claims 1,200 reverse torque which would be plenty. And it's lighter. I would keep that.

The new brushless have a 5 year over the counter warranty. You're supposed to be able to just bring a broken tool in and get a replacement same day. I'd definitely take that over the current ridgid...

yea def no need for both. Get one of the new brushless subcompacts instead. The 1/2" is quite strong. In the mid-torque category almost.

The new Dewalt high torque passed it up recently. Check out torque test channel on YouTube. You're right about the power, but still doesn't hurt to have it available for this price
