Yes, you should be able to mount it to a spinning rod. You’re just going to have less casting accuracy and you’ll be missing the grip for your index finger.

Not at all, most everything about the rod is different, bigger eyes on a spinning rod, the mounting area is different as well in size.

I agree to a point. My spinning rods I use left retrieve. Baitcasters I like to palm so regardless I have to switch the rod around. That’s why I stick with right hand retrieves.
