I've done both, successfully. The trick with home depot is as long as it generates an in store receipt, whether it be physically or email, you are fine to submit it

yes well after 90 days. these companies aren't dumb. cell phone companies do the same thing- deny you credits well after the 30 day return period so you're stuck paying full price!

I've done this on many of my orders. If you don't have a home Depot pro account I would highly suggest it. Makes it very simple to do the rebates if you lose a receipt.

The only exclusion I've ever seen is the rebate can't be used for online purchases. I've submitted at least 20 rebates and never had a problem.

Same here. It's a waste of time. Menard's rebates take 5 or 6 weeks but always come and are easy to do. This was a pain and nothing ever came.

If what you are buying happens to be on the exclusion list, that sucks. But it is good for an estimated 35k more items. That gives you over a 95% chance of success.
