The interest rate on that savings account can fluctuate and change at any time to something less and for no real reason. And believe me, it will. CD's lock in your interest rate.

Marcus has regular saving account at 5.15% for at least 3months through referral, or 5.25% if you have aarp membership. No minimal and lock in. Isn’t it better than this offering?

the Marcus ball sachz is 5.15% I believe, but for 10 months. I already did the 4.8% no penalty, but im thinking of throwing a small amount into the sachz account as well.

To me, CIT is better because you aren't' locked in for 10 months and it's just a 0.2% difference between the two.
