because people are idiots. You are absolutely right, these should be called Power Stations. Yes, you can attach a solar panel to it, but it still does not 'generate' the power but simply stores it.

Thanks for the clarification. I bought a ac200p refurb from their ebay store in July and the unit looked new. There were some scuffs in the charging brick but I was very happy for the price.
