So when you search on the Wusthof site this knife does not come up, not even the item number 4214? Also, in the title and on Amazon it says Deli but on the cardboard sleeve that it comes in it says...

If you feel like it's going to flex if you put some weight behind it, then it's not good. There's obviously room for flexible knives, just not in this space.

Yes. The Wusthof is the crappy one. The 8" serrated chef's knife from Henckels is the one I really like and thought this Wusthof was going to be something similar since they call it a "deli knife"...

Just received mine. Older make with the "200 years of knives" labelling (2018) that came before their current rebrand and engraving redesign. Wasn't in retail packaging but instead in a generic...

Never mind what I said. That knife was just delivered and it's nothing like the Henckels. It's basically a regular bread knife, just shaped differently. It's about 50% lighter than the Henckels...

I already have the Henckels version of this knife and I love it. Ordered this one as well. These are perfect for cutting artisan breads or meats. The regular bread knives have a hard time with...

Yeah, I know quality knives require maintenance. I have an 8” Wüsthof chef knife, a Gyuto, and several nakiris. I hand sharpen them on my King whetstone. But you can’t do that with a serrated knife....

I love my chef’s knife but from my experience there are tasks that a decent serrated slicing knife does better. Especially if it has an offset handle. Based on a recommendation from Anthony...

This is wrong, you give advice without knowing what you are talking about. You can sharpen them. They sell a tool just for this and it takes maybe 2 minutes

Not necessarily, a few articles and input from chefs on various forums state if you were building set then the common first three knives to get would be a chef knife, a paring knife, and then a bread...

I would avoid specialty knifes like this. Even if you are slicing deli meats often, you likely won't be reaching for a special knife to do so. Here are the knives worth investing in: 1. 6-8...
