As long as the wood is sealed, it's fine. The only thing you should use is water with a bit of vinegar on real wood floors. Never oil soap polish etc.

I don't think steam mops are recommended on hardwood floors. Wood and/or the finish can be damaged with hot steam. I think steam mop is ok or vinyl planks, tile, stone, etc.

So I have used steam mops on real wood floor planks. No damage to non-furniture areas and these areas are also heavily walked because they are the point of entrance to the stairs.
