It really depends on the laminate brand and type. for example, RevWood Premier/Plus from Mohawk allows for steam mopping whereas their other laminate types may not.

There are steam settings meant for different floorings. I use mine on real finished hardwood and it’s fine.

IMO, this is better. You get 2 cloths with it and they are reusable, just throw them in the washer. Unlike the Swiffer, you don't need to use any chemicals... that is, other than plain old H2O, i.e....

I just saw a soft cloth. What about for hard stuck on stuff? The Swiffer wet jet has a scour pad on the end to scrub hard stuck on stuff, but even that doesn't do a good job because it's so small.
