Not a bad price, but I wish they wouldn't put product photos of it being used on a wood floor lol. It's a big no-no to use steam mops on laminate OR hardwood flooring. Tile/vinyl only from what ive read.

I use mine on my tile and it's awesome btw.

Is this better than wet swiffer? I have tile floors. Also do you have to replace disposable clothes like the swiffer? Thanks.

From what I've read it will push moisture down into the gaps between the hardwood boards and potentially cause warping/cupping.

I just saw a soft cloth. What about for hard stuck on stuff? The Swiffer wet jet has a scour pad on the end to scrub hard stuck on stuff, but even that doesn't do a good job because it's so small.

IMO, this is better. You get 2 cloths with it and they are reusable, just throw them in the washer. Unlike the Swiffer, you don't need to use any chemicals... that is, other than plain old H2O, i.e. water. I would recommend using distilled water so you don't get any mineral scale buildup on the elements inside it. I have one and love it.

Peace

Just let the steam mop sit on the hard stuck on stuff for 10 secs of so and it will come off. You might need to go back and forth over it a half-dozen times if it's really bad. I really love the steam mop (as much as anyone can love mopping). It cleans the floor and pretty much sterilizes it too.

Peace

There are steam settings meant for different floorings. I use mine on real finished hardwood and it's fine.

Forgive me, I'm pretty clueless about cleaning floors. Do you need to sweep the floor first?

Wrong. Have used it on hardwood floors for 7 years and it works fine.

Do you have to pump this one to get it to steam?
