Amazon has the 5800X for $174 today and the 5600X for $135. I bought the 5700X for $169 last week. Would have went with the 5800X if it didn't use so much more power.

I'm still on my 3600, I honestly don't see a reason to upgrade for a while....all the games I play are bottlenecked by my GPU.

I am actually upgrading from an Intel 2600K. It is 12 years old at this point. Runs just fine and hasn't been the bottleneck in gaming.

This was a great upgrade from my 2700x but be aware it runs HOT. I naively thought my Wraith Prism air cooler would continue to work for me, but it sounded like a jet engine and the chip was thermal...
