After having two pairs, I can confirm this. On the bright side, the sound is decent enough to warrant a $15 investment, any other buds with the similar sound quality will cost you at least $30-35.

I have both. The built in charger cord in the base of the JLab I really liked. The cord the Skullcandy came with is a joke. The touch controls are different depending on which earbud on Jlabs....
