Thanks, I ended up going with the Osmo 4. The lowlight capabilities were much better than the gopro in the video reviews I researched and it's at a decent price.

Virtually never. Can be recording in an oven or freezer and it doesn't shut down. Plenty of YouTube reviews demonstrating testing the Action 4 in extreme temps and it having no issues with heat.

I think the most important consideration is that pocket 3 is far more delicate. For great video get Pocket 3, for action get Osmo 4

If memory serves, the gp11 has gps info built in, whereas the gp12 and osmo action 4 do not. The gp12 also has Bluetooth for adding earbuds (I think).
