got these for $5 at Ace hardware last year. They are okay for something like spot watering the lawn, but if you need to use them often or periodically just better to buy one of the better battery...

Yeah that's an issue with your plumbing not the valve. As someone else mentioned long plumbing runs should have a hammer arrestor at the end.

I tried 3 of these and they all stuck on, and my pool overflowed. They work a couple times and then let your guard down and bam, overflow city.

Had one of these that worked great for filling my pool... until I had someone else use it to fill my pool when I was away. That's when it decided to not shut off. Came home to a huge mess.

I have one installed on the inlet pipe of an outdoor pool after the shut-off valve.
I use it in the summer when I need to add water to the pool periodically.
Works very well.
Cheap and reliable...

yep, 100% junk. it'll last maybe a full season if you're lucky, but for $6 I don't think many Slick Dealers will bat an eye.

Check your local Aldi store, they may have some in clearance. I bought mine for 1.99$.
