The sound profile is supposedly different. You might like or hate. I've heard the bass is higher by default than XM5 was, but with the EQ it's probably not difficult to get it just how you like.

You are welcome. I do agree with a few other comments about the XM5 in that they feel "slippery" to handle. Once in the ears they are fine but I dropped at least one earbud a couple of times before...
