Tests have shown lots of ppl can’t tell 1080p from 4k on a typical 4k tv at typical tv viewing ranges. It’s the HDR that makes 4k noticeable to most ppl.

4k uses way more data than HD and could eat up some ppl’s data caps faster. Lots of ppl still have “slow” internet where 4k may have streaming issues.
