Good board and the price with memory seems very good. I bought this board for $245 including tax and returned it unopened. The x870 is more or less the same as the x670. Very little difference, a...

Tempting, I will sleep on it. I have been an Intel fan for a long time but this is intriguing.

the only nutty thing about this deal and many like it, is that many (perhaps most) people who want a white build, especially those paying more for a while build, want white casing on the memory.

Worst design ever, not to mention their service department is by far the worst in the industry! You'd have to give up the 16x speed on the PCIe lane for your GPU if you want to use more than 1x nvme...

That's what they get for price gouging. I won't be surprised if the same thing happens to Nvidia soon if there is slightly better-performing competition.

building a new PC for kids nextdoor and wanted to do something good around $600 to $800 just for the motherboard/RAM and NVidia graphics for gaming? Any suggestion would be helpful.

He makes a good point. General Enthusiast Consensus is CL30 6000 is the "sweet spot" for AM5 in regards to performance/stability, so bear it in mind. I'm not sure I'd choose X870 over X670E tho -...

Just a heads-up that this board now has a rebate on Newegg for purchases after 3/1. In addition (and a bit questionable) there is an extra $10 if you post a review that meets their criteria. I'm...

Because it's Amazon, I don't think I'm super concerned. They usually take care of their customers pretty well. Do you know something that I don't know?
Post #175893145 added 02-24-2025 4:43 PM by WrathofCan in Deal Talk
I'm willing to bet that this AORUS ELITE WIFI 7 motherboard is the Rev. 1.0/1.1 model and not the newer Rev. 1.2 model. Even the AORUS Pro Ice went from Rev. 1.0 to 1.1. I know which one I want.

Yikes. Never, ever buy PC components from a third party on Amazon. You'll be lucky to get your refund back within a month, if at all, when (not if) something goes wrong with it.

My steel legend asrock x670e will let me use the xmp or the expo for my Klevv ram. At first glance they show the same timings but I admittedly don’t know what the functional difference is

Not sure where you heard that, and a quick google search would answer your question. Unless you have specific concerns with the mobo and X870 specifically, which you'll have to do some preliminary...

I really appreciated the convenience of having RAM on Gigabyte's QVL list. It's the first time I've seen an AMD board load an XMP profile.

You are right, I got scammed and couldn't get my refund for two months. I'm never buying PC components from a 3rd party seller on Amazon.

It was a scam. Amazon let me know earlier today that the seller no longer is a seller on Amazon and that I will have to wait two weeks to request my money back.
Post #175932343 added 02-27-2025 8:34 AM by CompassionateVeg in Deal Talk
Yeah, I kind of have to wait also. I think it's unlikely based upon the seller disappearing but we have to wait until the 5th or 7th of March which sucks because I was trying to get my system built...
