Yes and no. It used to be that all Xfinity customers received it for free. Now only higher level rewards members or gigabit internet customers get it for free.

I set my TV to use an AdGuard DNS server and don't see ads. I actually didn't realize it was blocking them until I reset my TV and briefly forgot to change DNS settings.

I think the issue is that people paid for streaming services not to see ads. Then they decided to charge extra to not display ads. It feels like a bit of a bait-and-switch. At least for me.

I confirmed that Peacock still doesn't show ads once a movie begins. There are lots of ads before the movie starts (almost 3 min. worth). I'd rather they front-load all the ads instead of spreading...
