That's my exact same situation. And what you describe sounds exactly like stacking. The only problem is when the older promotion ends (mine was in Jan), the adjusted rate will drop accordingly.

Yeah that's correct but this is assuming the base rate will remain 4% over the next year which seems pretty unlikely i.e. I believe it will drop, but it will most likely drop for all banks
