It’s not exactly free. You have to have Instacart+ to use the benefit. Each Ink card can get you 3 months free of Insta+, but after that you gotta pay for Insta+ to continue using the credits.

Did you try linking the card at Instacart? Do that and see what happens on INSTACART (not Chase) The credit applies in the instacart cart during an order, not as a statement credit on your Visa bill.
