This doesn't make sense, TLS / SSL which is used when you have a https browser link is encryption between your browser and the web server, the VPN provider would only see data after it was encrypted...

Nothing really to know. You just open the program, pick where you want your IP to be from in the drop down menu, and select ON. Then check your IP to make sure it's new

It doesn't matter where your vpn is, 99% of the time its blocked in China. Even in hotels like Hyatt I wasn't able to login through private vpn. Its efed up there.
