Nope, gotta go LaserDisc.
Post #93374008 added 12-09-2016 8:41 AM by bru20 in Deal Talk
Episode IV is not Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA). Fox still has the rights. So it will not port to connected DMA services, the others will. If you buy on iTunes five movies will be available on linked...

Too bad no coupons for iTunes. I'm surprised they've never released the digital copies along with the blu-rays.

I just did the same since google play had it down to $65! What an absolute steal! $2 coupon off ebay, $32.50 for the set......$34.50 out the door for the whole set! Thanks for the tip!

Clueless are you. There are at least three front page deals for digital media right now. Do you post this on all of those too?

Looks like you can get an additional discount from Google Play by using the Paypal $3 off coupon mentioned here. With 50% off + $3 off, price is $29.49. Finally bought it at that price.

Could have gotten them for $50 from Google Play back on Black Friday. Also Episode 4 A New Hope is not part of the Disney Movies Anywhere. The other 5 movies are.
Post #93372688 added 12-09-2016 8:21 AM by lupi in Deal Talk
So what's the story with 4? If I could get this for about 40 I'd probably bite even though I have all on disk, and as I've got a 25$ gift credit on iTunes that is pretty close. Don't really have any...

Oh? What's different between the original theatrical cut in limited edition DVDs and the LaserDiscs? Do you mean the presence of the line "A New Hope" in the opening titles?
Post #93446544 added 12-10-2016 1:59 PM by Straycat76 in Deal Talk
You're right. However this deal is for six movies, not three.
Post #93446856 added 12-10-2016 2:08 PM by bru20 in Deal Talk
People would rather post about the altered versions than actually focusing on the deal. Google Play has 25 or 50% coupons for many, bringing the cost down. I paid $40. That's $6.67 a movie. Buy it...
Post #93371560 added 12-09-2016 8:03 AM by cubmark8 in Deal Talk
Bought the DVD blu Ray combo versions for $35 each, sold the 6 DVDs for $60 on eBay a year ago (they don't go that high anymore, not sure why anyone would pay that much )minus shipping and fees gross...
Post #93371840 added 12-09-2016 8:08 AM by bru20 in Deal Talk
Pretty sure that was after coupon. Now it will be $40 after coupon. Cheapest I have seen. The info about Ep. IV is in the OP. Some buy it in addition to the bundle for that reason. And now...
Post #93406512 added 12-09-2016 6:01 PM by bru20 in Deal Talk
I couldn't pass this up. These movies have never been priced this low for the digital versions. $40 after coupon for all six movies makes my son (and me) extremely happy. We already have the...

Not sure if this was sarcastic but it made me curious. Sounds like the DVD's were (mostly) the Laserdisc edition which is pretty close to the theatrical release: http://savestarwars.com/gout.html

Post #93422068 added 12-10-2016 3:14 AM by eikiel in Deal Talk
The 2006 Limited Edition Release had a "theatrical version" which is essentially the LaserDisc version from 1993. The changes to Mos Eisley, digital Jaba and Greedo shooting first are from the 1997...

I got these when they first became available on Vudu. I wish the original theatrical versions of the original Star Wars trilogy would be made available in digital HD and Blu-ray though. To watch them...

I didn't notice this until now. I've been sitting on my 50% off coupon for Google Play for a good deal. Sucks that New Hope isn't DMA, but this will do.

Star Wars 6 Movie Digital HD Bundle on iTunes for $69.99. Regularly $99.99. Connects to your Disney Movies Account as well.
Post #93370120 added 12-09-2016 7:39 AM by Howie411 in Deal Talk
Maybe, I'm crazy but I can't see how $79 or even $69 is a good deal for these 6 movies in digital version. If I'm paying that much I was the physical media.
Post #93420864 added 12-10-2016 1:21 AM by Bennysdeals1 in Deal Talk
Nope, the DVDs had all of the bs extra footage of storm troopers riding lizards, Digital Jaba, Greedo shooting first, and ghost Hayden Christiansen...still trying to figure that one out Lucas
Post #94177064 added 12-22-2016 3:09 PM by bru20 in Deal Talk
