i just disconnected comcast cable. $30 first year was doable but $50 is too much. not qualified for $10.

I think nowadays they supply a modem with built-in wifi. I got a plain old DOCSIS 2.0 modem when I first joined. They've since replaced it with an Arris TG862G-CT DOCSIS 3.0 (8x4) modem.

I've never heard of this. I just searched the forums and there is no mention of this deal anywhere. Are they providing internet via WiFi? Or do you get a real cable modem with this setup?
