Posts keep popping up saying it is working. I don't know why some are reporting the ability to get it at the new rates while others say expired. Perhaps contact Uber if you really want it and see...

This cost is subsidized by Uber. I was in a car w/ the driver and he said he gets the full fare. You are taking the money directly out of Uber's cost and they have to pay the driver more for you...

yes I have been using it for 3 days and I stopped taking the subway. I usually take 2 ubers and 2 subway rides a day. So its savings me a considerable amount of money.
