Of course it can't play many games at 4k. However, most gamers will change the setting to 1080p anyway. 4K is for Youtube videos and movies.

The only reason it does matter is the 4K panel is an IPS screen, where as the 1080 panel of this line is a TN.

I put my settings at +135 MHZ on the core and +699 on the memory haven't run into any issue for 3 months, but it is not worth it as you will get 1-2 FPS increase. Do it at your own risk
