Toshiba BDX2300 Smart WiFi Blu-ray Player $39.99

Um, how do you justify posting this as the best Blu-ray player deal when both the Amazon reviews [amazon.com] and the Newegg reviews [newegg.com] indicate that the product sucks? Am I missing something?

There are 11,967 black friday deals posted. There are thousands of members discussing those deals. Additionally, there are thousands of other threads about other deals and topics.
The editors found the best prices for the items and do us a great service by posting them all in one forum and/or thread. They can't do all the work for you.
Stick around awhile and make some contributions to the community before you slam all the hard work being done here.

I agree with Tannem. The reviews on the LG sold by Wal-mart are much better. I didn't compare the specs though. I understand that there's tons of ads out there, but given that thousands of people will be looking at the Editor's Picks, I think some work should be put into them.

If I were tasked with the job, I'd compare the top 4 online and B&M resellers for each of these types of items and compare their "doorbuster" deals. It would probably take a few hours, but it would help a lot of people.

I doubt they have endless hours to spend finding the absolutely best deal in terms of price and quality and all other considerations, especially when they are so busy already during this time of the year. I do not have time this time of the year either, but I am interested in picking up a Bluray player. Feel free to go do your comparisons, and then you can actually help a lot of people
