This is my first post. Please be gentle :-)
ZipZoomFly has a 2TB Seagate Barracuda [zipzoomfly.com] hard drive for $79.99 with free shipping ($149.99-$70 instant rebate).
http://www.zipzoomfly. com/jsp/Pro...e=1001073 4
Capacity 2.0TB
External Interface SATA 3.0Gb/s
Rotation speed 5900 RPM
Buffer size 32MB
Form factor 3.5"
Avg Latency 5.5ms
Power Consumption (Avg Idle) 5.5
3 year parts and labor manufacturer warranty
I've never bought from these guys so I can't vouch for them as a retailer, perhaps someone else can fill us in?
UPDATE: Had a credit on Tiger Direct so I figure I'd try to use it. Called them up and they will price match this, so this might be a better way to go if you trust them more than ZipZoomFly.
Also, I did a search before posting and didn't seem to find this, but just in case, I apologize if this is a repost.
Enjoy!

Where?
Although both the F4 and WD20EARS are quieter than the Seagate LP.
The Samsung F4 runs much cooler, though thanks to the fewer platters.
Just FYI. I have way too many 2TB drives of many kinds, haha.

buying a seagate for the same price as samsung or wd is just suicidal considering the failure rates

ZipZoomFly ...

As for that drive, I'm not so sure. Too much kid-gloves required for their stuff lately. Oh for the Seagate of old.
I have seen various problems with WD EARS drives, and seems like everyone swears off the Seagate drives (not sure why because going back to the early '90s I haven't had a single bad Seagate drive - ever). Would general opinion be though that Samsung is the best of the bunch for 2TB?
Here are a couple of reviews I found on this drive:

Hope this helps.
