Thread Details
As many of you have likely encountered, when you return something without a receipt at Walgreens you are given store credit on this thing called a "W Card". It is like a gift card, except it has a few more restrictions and comes with no instructions on how to check the balance. No phone number, no website, nothing!
Well, testing out another theory I stumbled upon how to check the balance on these cards and even see activity. Just enter in the W Card number at this site:
https://webapp.walgreen s.com/MYWC...rdSearch RH
Those of you who are doing the Prescription Savings Club deal will notice this is the same link you use to register your PSC card. The W Card is tracked in the same system as the PSC cards, and no, you can't use the W Card to get the 10% rebate on Walgreens brand items (that was the original theory I was testing).
For those of you who have gotten these cards and were annoyed you couldn't check the balance, here's your answer!

One other thing I'd clarify on this is that to see the card activity you have to link the card to your online account (much like you would link the PSC card). The cool thing is that you can also pull up receipt detail for each of those transactions, which may be useful if you lose a receipt you need for an ESR.

This is for the red W cards issued for store credit. Those have a 19 digit number as opposed to the 16 digit number on regular Walgreens gift cards. As far as I know, there is no way to check the regular gift card balances online.
