The B&H deal with 6 months of free Republic Wireless service is a slightly better value. No need to sign up for anything.

The G4 deal at B&H seems like a better deal. No need to sign up for any offers, no tax outside of NY and NJ, and better specs. The 16GB model is $95 and the 32GB model is $105 + free shipping.

True true. I posted that deal too. If you just want to receive maximum savings on the phone and don't want that service, this is a better deal, If you want the free service with a $10 increase in price on the phone, the other deal is definitely good. Here's a link to the deal that includes free service for six months: https://slickdeals.net/f/11032031-b-h-select-smartphones-25-off-6-months-free-republic-wireless-service-not-required-for-coupon-redemption?v=1&src=SiteSearch

I think the G4 lacks a compass/magnetometer, otherwise I would have grabbed that phone as well. Also, I think the 16GB is slightly more expensive at $99. Not much more, just a tiny bit Wink

Most reputable sites allow you to unsubscribe. This one does, and allows daily or weekly promos, too, if you choose. For the sake of others.

That's true about the absence of a magnetometer in the G4, so the E4 would look appealing to those who want that feature. The G4 has GPS, which is all I really need.

Oh, it's the white 16GB G4 at B&H that's $95. The black 16GB is $100 and the black 32GB is $105.

This E4 deal isn't bad if this is the model you want. For me, the G4 was a better deal due to the better specs (minus the magnetometer) and double the on-board storage for only $10 more.

Both are great phones.

No question about it. The G4 is the better deal, especially with the 6 months of RW. And it's a higher level phone, with 1080 screen.

But if you need to go cheap--- I own the E4 and it's a great little phone, but if you are on a GSM carrier, they way to go is to get it at Walmart ( or Family Dollar for even cheaper) and buy the unlock code on ebay for $20. Total cost about $46 including tax. See if Walmart has any near you for pickup. They are not on the shelves.

Yeah, I missed out on the Walmart YMMV deal. The nearest Walmart with any in stock was 20 miles away and only showed 2 on Brickseek. Great deal for those who could get it.

It wasn't a huge YMMV at all. There were many floating around. I ended up with 3 of them in addition to the one I got from Target a couple months ago. I will unlock and sell them on Letgo or CL. But I bet if you went to walmart.com and kept trying your cart with different locations you'd find one closer than 20 miles

Call all your local Family Dollar stores. They had them for $34
