Unome has found the 27led light coupon online so I don't have to rescan it:

This tool box won't stop your tools from rusting. I don't know if any tool box will.

I can't say I have had any tools rusting. Maybe try what others here are suggesting. Most of my tools are craftsman.

For your tools being stolen. If someone breaks in I can't see anything you can do to stop them from stealing your tools. except to slow down the theft. The best thing you can do is keep the garage locked..

Ok, you guys are making me interested in the "Roller Cabinet, 26" 8 Drawer with 8 Drawer Top Chest "

But my question is - when you keep this in your garage how do you keep your tools from rusting? All my tools are still in mint condition and I'd like to keep them that way. I have seen a lot of tools being sold at auctions from these roller tool cabinets and it appears that they rust as they sit in the drawers.

If I drop $300 on this thing I don't want my tools to rust.

How do you prevent it?

Also is there a way to lock this thing down so that if someone were to break into my garage they couldn't take off with it and all the tools? It appears both the upper and lower sections have lockable drawers, but I'd also like to be able to make sure this thing isn't going to be rolled into the back of a truck when I'm not around.

Thank you.

They really need to make that 27-led light use AA instead of AAA. Not enough longevity from AAA

No problem.. To keep the tools from rusting, heat the garage. To keep them from getting stolen, as long as you're already heating the garage, put a large dog in it. Problems solved!

Be careful heating the garage. Some heaters (i.e., gas) increase the humidity when they burn the gas. Plus they can suffocate you.

any non vented combustion heaters will do this. Kerosene heaters also do this.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before in this thread, 300 pages is kind of a lot to sift through, but if I printed the picture of the coupon and took it in would they accept it? I realize each store is different but I was just wondering in general if this worked.

If they don't take prints, where could I find the coupon? I just bought one of those 26" cabinets on Friday.

The closest store is not really that close so I just wanted to check before I went over there.

Thanks!

An update to my previous post, here is a scan of the 26" roller cabinet Q for $299 exp 11/30. This is from the mailing I received. Also I noticed some chit chat a while back about the 1/2" earthquake, found this gem in Super Chevy or the like. 1/2 Earthquake Impact - $69.99 - exp 3/1.

I almost exclusively use color printouts from my inkjet. You can also use your mobile device.

Many of the coupons are available through magazines. Start with Diesel World/Power and CarnDriver.

Years ago, when I was fresh out of college and lived in an apartment, I had a semi-secure, semi-private garage. (plywood walls to my neighbors, could easily see through the 1" gaps) Because I was paranoid about my investment in tools, I drilled a hole in the face of each piece of my cabinet and mounted a stainless I-bolt in each. Then I drilled a hole in the concrete floor and put in an anchor. I strung a large chain up the front with a lock on each piece and another on the anchor.

At the end of the day, it's impossible to absolutely prevent theft. Half of my goal was a visual deterrent. If you don't regularly rearrange your garage, you can also remove the casters and set it on wood blocks. It's a lot tougher to steal something heavy that doesn't roll.

These days, I've got a 55" cabinet that's about 6' tall with two 18" side-cabs. It took 4 movers to get the thing into its current spot, so I keep it locked and I'm not too worried about theft.

Thanks for the tip. I only found out about HF a month or so ago, so I'm still new to it.

They would also asphyxiate the aforementioned large dog. I wasn't referring to a cheap heater, do it right with a proper exhaust. My garage/shop has gas forced air heat and central A/C. The garage/shop downstairs and the mancave upstairs are comfortable all year and it wasn't that expensive. A single unit and cost less than some of you have spent on your tool chests.
