bummer... no single-player split-screen / couch co-op option.

Perfect timing!

My Xbox One X went down so I booted up my old Xbox 360. I scrolled through games and came across Torchlight which I owned but never played so I gave it a shot. Found it to be rather enjoyable for a diablo-lite clone.

I am excited to try the sequel although I see the third one is not as good due to switching from a free MMO design mid-production.

Torchlight 2 is the best version. 1 is also good but 3 was a letdown.

TL3 isn't that bad. It's a bit more grindy than the others in solo mode, but it also works. TL2 was better with co-op. If you just want to play with your friends, then go with TL2. If you want more strategic planning in specing your character, then that's where TL3 shines.

They have been updating TL3 a lot. They added an additional character class recently. I've had lots of fun playing it. It's a no brainer if you have GamePass. TL2 is definitely awesome to own for $6!

Can we not put Series X/S in the title unless it's optimized for them or exclusive? Just say Xbox One. Everyone knows you can download to the new consoles.
