Oh you young fella. You see there used to be this thing called 'cable TV' which had different channels you could change through. One of those channels was entirely designed to sell items 24/7, and that channel is QVC.

Thats one of the main selling point of this watch. "Smartwatch: Up to 24 days/54 days with solar*"

got it for same price during Prime Day - It has replaced my bike computer ( Got a cadence sensor, which works with this - I don't have a power meter, which this can't connect to ) and the charge lasts forever...

Picked this up on Prime Day for the same price. Absolutely love it. I am outside about 2-3 hours a few times a week and average around 2 weeks of battery with mostly default settings. The metrics in the Garmin Connect app are great, and this watch is light, comfortable, and very durable. Huge fan of this watch.

I can't comment on this exact watch, but I just purchased my first Garmin. It's the Fenix solar 6. The solar on any Garmin watch is a game changer. I run 5 days a week about an hour to two hours at a time. I use the interactive map, GPS, LiveTrack, and play music. It's been a little over a week and has yet to drop below 70%. My Fitbit used to die after a day or two. I really recommend anything with solar.

It is missing some features that the Fenix Line has, but is still a great watch. Off the top of my head, a few features that I use on my Fenix that are not available on this are:
  1. No access to the IQ Store
  2. No Golf features
  3. No color screen
  4. No FirstBeat data (V02 Max)
But it does have most of the same sensors and is an excellent watch with great battery life. Just comes down to how you want to use it.

Have owned one of these for the last few months and absolutely love it. It does everything I need it to do and it's rugged enough to keep up with my clumsiness and general abuse. It hooks up to my speed and cadence sensor on my bike no problem, and I have never had an issue with gps tracking.

HR tracking is probably a bit off like all wrist based sensors, but it can also link up with a chest strap if you need really granular data.

This is a great watch! I have the non solar which I got for $125 last year. I would love to have the solar version. I am sure I would probably charge it by cable a few times a year.

I have other smart watches, but this is perfect for me. I don't care for the call and entertainment from a watch. This watch works for me with exercise, biking, hunting, living, etc.

This is a good deal and I might just get it. I only charge my regular once every two weeks with regular use. More than that, you will need to charge

I heavily researched this watch because of the solar feature and all that it can do. Unfortunately, once the battery is unable to hold a charge, (which it will eventually) there is no easy way to replace it. You'll end up with a $250 brick. Take this into consideration when purchasing a "smart" watch.
You can pay a battery replacement fee and send it to Garmin and they can replace the battery. I was liking a lot about this watch but no onboard media storage for music while I walk or run made it a no go for me.

I've had this watch since Black Friday, and I love it. It replaced my Samsung Watch. I use it to track around 20 miles of running a week, plus a lot of notifications, and I usually get about 3 weeks between charges. The UI is not as nice as a full smartwatch, but it has all the functions I need with literally 10x the battery life. Totally worth the tradeoff for me, but you should really check one out in person as it's very different than most smart watches. Much more like a gshock with GPS and notifications than what most people think of when they hear " smartwatch."
