Read mixed reviews and I haven't seen this on SD, so hoping to get feedback because SD folk aren't shy to share their opinion.

To do, or not do? That is the question.

I've actually never done the "hack" before. I'm guessing, I'm still good to just return the battery after I pick it up??

About a month ago, I had some items I legitimately intended to pick up from HD and hurt my back so I didn't. They canceled my order and refunded the money, but to this day continue to ask me to review the product which I never picked up. "Thanks for picking up your order" emails keep coming...

It's as simple as a return if you'd like it to be.
Or they usually call after a week or so, and just let them know you'd just like to cancel it.
I've done both options many times. HD allows the "hack" on purpose, they are fine with people benefiting from it

You can cancel the battery through the app once it's ready for pickup. That or call the store to cancel it.

I have one. Planned on buying 2. One for shop, one for house since I have tons of batteries. Problem is...1. virtually unusable on any carpet other than flat commercial carpet. It pulls itself to the carpet, won't move and then shuts down to protect itself. 2. If you are over 5'10", you need to bend over to an akward position to use it. It's too short. Milwaukee will end up addressing these issues at some point. My question is ... How did this make it through quality assurance? They must not have tested it with consumers. Orrrrr.... They tested it on concrete with a 4'9" kid.

I don't see the option to cancel the battery in the app.

I don't think this is made "for the house" and definitely not made for carpet. For carpet you'd need some sort of beater bar and rollers. This is a "jobsite" vacuum - think concrete type surfaces. So this not like a competitor to say a Dyson stick.
