Online price is 1199.97 but it's 999.97 in stores. My local store still has multiple units left. Also, pay with Costco credit card and get 2 years extended warranty.
I don't there is anything slick about this deal tbh imho. It only has 2x hdmi "2.0" ports and it's 60hz with the older generation 802.11ac wifi.
It's 82". That is what makes it slick. I would never get a large TV over a good TV, but this is a great deal if you want the largest cheap TV you can get.

I believe this is the first time a TV larger than 80" is under $1K.

The question on whether you need to spend more to get a TV with all the bells and whistles or whether an "el cheapo" TV all depends on your use case. This TV is good enough for watching the daily news thru your cable box in a dimly lit room. But if you watch HDR content you will definitely want a better TV.

Hisense 85" at Best Buy was $999 a couple times last year.
Great deal but only holding back fot 2x HdMi inputs. I need atleast 4
Perhaps you should get yourself an AVR and some speakers then. Even most budget receivers have at least 4 HDMI inputs that switch and even a 3.1 setup would sound 10,000x better than an TV speaker ever made.

I don't have this tv but that's how my tv is set up. TV has 4 hdmi but i switch it all through my Yamaha receiver so only using one on tv.

If that's the only thing holding you back, just get an HDMI switch to effectively get extra inputs
