A few tips after one season:
Mow high, usually on the 3 setting. Mow weekly when dry if possible.
The newer models will still leave a few clippings behind while bagging so I don't rush it.
Don't take a full width cut on long grass, plan on making an extra pass or two on a normal sized yard.
I like the select cut dual blades for mulching with chute plug. Only bag when needed, like behind schedule. I also have a push model with high lift blade for the fall leaves. This is where the Ego blowers come in for loading leaves and blowing in any obvious grass clippings.
I've been doing this a long time and I don't even let up on the drive. I needed the RWD for rough or hilly lawns or just because I'm old as the hills. I just don't do tight turns, it's all about the groovy patterns, keeping the cut on the right, closest to chute. I just take my time. It's worth it for the fresh air and exercise.

If you have a lot of steep hills like I do you may want to pass on this model but for a flat lawn 1/3 of an acre or less this should work fine. It is quieter and not having to get gas is great.
A few minor issues perhaps someone can give me some pro-tips on. There is a learning curve so don't judge it after your first cut probably after the third would be best.
It leaves "ridges" between passes and unless you are going to overlap your cuts which takes more time and battery life I have not found a way to get a totally flat even cut. If you have twigs in your grass you should walk around and pick them up first if using the mulching blade as it will not lift them off the lawn to cut them. Perhaps the high lift blade will?
The control levers need a redesign IMO. It is too easy to accidentally engage the self-propelled motor when the blades are off. I know this is a convenience feature for being able to move the mower when not on grass or to not double cut the lawn but it engages by just putting 1 finger where you would naturally rest your hands on the handle. I have tried alternative hand positions but none are as comfortable as where they need to be to engage the motor. The self-propelled speed control nob is garbage. The demarcations between speeds are indistinguishable and too easily changed. My first cut I was under some hedges and I thought the mower stopped working but one of the branches pushed the rotary dial from notch 8 of 10 to notch 0. That has happened a few other times but now I know how to resolve it. I mostly use the mower on notch 8 and would use duct tape or some other way to lock it in place but for tight areas and my curbing I need to go much slower.
Besides that no issues and my cut time is down 20 minutes in comparison to my old heavy toro.
My military discount cannot be used on sale items. However I CAN apply it to the full-priced Select Cut XP model.

I also bought 3 other garden tools each with 2.5Ah batteries. Thinking I'll have one 7.5ah and 3x2.5ah batteries and it'll be enough. The problem is 3x2.5 ah batteries do not equal the 7.5ah one. It's not a problem of capacity. The 2.5ah ones heat up so quickly that if the grass is slightly high or slightly wet, I can barely get through one or two lines across my backyard. And all this is without using the propel function. I dare not use the sel-propelling.
And an extra 7.5ah battery is so expensive I might as well buy a second mower from another company when it's on sale.
People say 57W ego equal to 80W from another company. I'm sure Ego does more with their 57W than others of similar rating with their dual cut blades etc. so I can believe they would be more powerful than say a 60W one. But end of the day it's just a battery spinning a motor. Designs between companies are not that different. They can't magically make it more powerful than a 80W mower.
A tip - it comes with he mulching blade installed. If you want to bag it you'll have to swap out the blade with one of the other ones.

There was a very good scientific post on here with formulas a year or 2 ago about the design of the ego battery's and how the cells are aligned in parallel or series, can't recall which. Also, the total number of cells is factored into the equation. Anyway the conclusion is exactly what you experienced three 2.5 batteries do not generate the power of one 7.5, and that the ego batteries do generate more power than the 80W brand.
For a lawnmower, snowblower or leaf blower I would recommend getting the strongest battery possible.

I have same issues with Costco Greenworks mower too, I guess all electric mowers have same issue. I used to use my gas mower to vacuum fall leaves into bag, but these electric doesn't even pick small twigs or all grass clippings properly.
There's a promo pdf on ego's site somewhere, but the new model has 2 blades and significantly more horsepower
