I got the 7 pro cn. I think the difference is in whether the nfc functions… although for folks outside of China it nfc won't work anyways.

After going to xiaomi band 5, then 6, then 7, then 7 pro and spending less than buying one refurb Apple Watch… I prefer xiaomi. I want a watch that also keeps steps, and can measure heart rate spo2, gives me the weather… track sleep… just the basic functions. I don't need it to show me texts or app updates. And best of all, I don't HAVE to charge it everyday. If I remember I'll charge when when I'm taking a shower and that's all it takes to keep it going. I can go to weekend trips without taking a charger with me.

With tech hardware updating on annual cycles, I find the Apple Watch to be an item that, once in product cycle, is not good enough for my daily needs so every time they come out with a new version I want to buy a new one to see if it is finally up to par…. But once I went xiaomi I actually found a product that meets all my needs and is much more affordable. My band 6 was working just fine but bought the 7 pro for larger screen. Although right now it's a debate between whether I need this much screen for what I really need the device for. Good thing I can have both and not break the bank.
Yah pretty much as goofy as an Applewatch.
You think Apple, Google, etc are more privacy conscious than a Chinese company? I highly doubt it. They are probably giving everything to the government. We're pretty much screwed on privacy no matter which route we go, so may as well get a nice cheap watch.

What's the difference between the 2 versions?

Language can be set to English in the app I suppose. So what's the other difference?

Also, anyone know how this compares to the Amazfit smartwatch GTS 1,2,3 or 4? Which is the closest GTS watch?

There's an image attached to the post which shows the difference between the 2 versions.

Yes, I noticed the image in the CN version right after I posted the question here.

The CN version has different dimensions, higher weight and a larger battery. But it has a smaller battery life perhaps because it's slightly larger and has better display.

The CN version seems cheap enough for a basic watch but Amazfit BIP series has many watches to fit that bill. this is closer to their better GTS series except it seems like a long rectangle instead of a squarish display.

It looks like the chart is comparing the CN verison of the 7 Pro vs Global version of the 7..

Not a comparison of CN version 7 Pro vs Global version 7 Pro

According to the comparison table shown, the global version does not have GPS, despite its more expensive than CN version

Edit: I stand corrected, I think sam_ay comment is right and it does have GPS.

Actually the global pro has it. It's on its description page. They aren't comparing the 2 Pro versions. Check out the post above

I had the Mi band 2, 4, 6 and agree with you on most stuff, especially best time to charge is when taking a shower and it's always just ready afterwards and battery lasts easily a week. However I wanted to know if you got the 7 Pro working with Zepp Life app or is it only Mi Fitness app for now? and if so, is it decent? I care most about Google Fit sync, sleep stats, workout stats (VO2 Max), and even syncing with the Mi Smart Scale stats in the same app. NFC no biggie, but for the price and customizable features (setting up which apps' notifications show up on watch) and great battery life keeps me always coming back.

Even as enticing the Pixel Watch can seem, the Fitbit subscription requirement for decent feedback and high upfront costs $300+ are such a dealbreaker that Xiaomi wins for at least next few years.

CH version supports NFC payments, US ver doesn't according to GSM Arena.

Have been buying mi band since 2 up to 5. Grasshopper had the mi bands at great price, also great coupon discounts. The best version and the one I use is the 4 because it fulfills my needs and most important is that I charge it once every 20 days!
Does the 7 Pro CN come in English by default? How many days do you get (normal use) without charging? NFC is not important for me.

Sticking with Mi Band 6. I like the form factor and it does everything I need/want.
